Bia is your space to practice guided exposures and to find a licensed therapist. Bia is not a therapy provider: the therapy itself happens with an independent, licensed provider who leads your care, while Bia supports your practice alongside it. We verify each listed therapist's license, and you choose the provider who's right for you.

I am a clinical health psychologist working with kids, teens, and adults. I use evidence-based CBT, specifically Exposure with Response Prevention (ERP), to treat emetophobia. Together, we build coping skills and gradually face fears in a safe, supportive way.
Bia builds and runs your exposure plan for what you are working on. Your therapist supports you through it.

Common questions about therapy
We understand. In therapy, you are in control. A therapist is there to guide and support you at every step. Your first conversation with your therapist is a chance to ask them about therapy and their approach to ensure it feels like a good fit.
Exposure means gently approaching the situations or thoughts that trigger anxiety, rather than avoiding them. Avoidance gives anxiety its power. By facing fears in a safe, controlled way, your brain learns those situations are not actually dangerous. There are never tricks, traps, or surprises, and you don't have to do things that are actually dangerous
No problem. You can ask Jessica Tomasula all of your questions during your first call. They will be happy to explain their process and what therapy involves.
