Welcome to Bia for Kids

Overcome phobia using stories and games.

Engaging and Interactive

The world of Bia is filled with villagers, castles, and vast oceans. The anxiety monster has taken over. Your child is tasked with facing the anxiety monster and freeing the villagers from fear.

Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy

Exposure and Response Prevention therapy is the only clinically proven treatment for emetophobia. Bia provides step-by-step exposure practice through fun and interactive games while providing lessons for parents to take exposure practice into the real world.

Which version is right for my child?

If you child is 13 or under they should use the kids version of Bia. If your child is between the ages of 14 and 16, you may consider either version; the kids version presents the same information but in a narrative and game format. At 17 or older, we recommend the adult version.

You can always switch between the kids and adult version in just a few clicks.

Emetophobia

Emetophobia is the phobia of vomit or vomiting. It is a common and particularly difficult phobia to live with. Emetophobia is much more than a sensitivity to vomit. It is a mental disorder similar to OCD that can cause significant distress, nausea, malnutrition, stomach aches, school and food avoidance, social anxiety, panic attacks, and more.

Research shows, treatment for phobia is more effective the earlier you can address it. Phobia is often treated by externalizing the fear (imagining fear as an 'Anxiety Monster'), and teaching skills for conquering the anxiety monster. This requires the ironic process of facing fear and consistent parental support.

Bia presents an interactive and engaging world that helps your child externalize their phobia and practice facing it, while providing lessons to help you reinforce these skills.
