Months of Changes and Improvements

William, October 2, 2024

We have been busy making a lot of changes and improvements to Bia and I am excited to share details of those changes here!

Bia for Kids

First, we added a version for kids. Bia for Kids takes the same Bia approach of interactive lessons and short exposure activities and presents it in a video game experience. If you are a parent to a child with phobia, or a therapist working with children, Bia for Kids is a tool that will help you deliver exposure and response prevention practice consistently and effectively. Anxiety is allergic to fun, and Bia for kids flips fears on their heads by helping children face and conquer them.

Adult Redesign

Second, we have re-designed the adult version of Bia. We heard feedback on what was working and what needed improvement. The journey paints a clear picture of where you are headed, without being overwhelming.

More Lessons

We added several new lessons, including a lesson on regulation zones. Therapeutic techniques are only effective in the right context; for example, if you are having a panic attack it is not possible to calmly practice a positive mantra. Regulation zones is a skill that helps you identify your anxiety level, and pull the appropriate skill. Practice this skill a few times in Bia, and you will find yourself conquering new situations easier and faster.

Features for Therapists

More therapists are using Bia than ever before. We're excited to continue to expand and add features that allow you to connect with your therapist, share notes, review custom exposure activities, and root out phobia from your life.

National Institute of Health

We recently completed a program with the National Institute of Health where we spoke with over 80 people about their experience with emetophobia. We are compiling our findings into a report that we hope will raise awareness, inspire research, and provide some insight into what is and is not working in emetophobia recovery.
